The H145 from VARIO is a 1050 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with electric propulsion. Airbus Helicopters is the creator of the man-carrying version and produces this helicopter to this day.

As with the smaller sister aircraft from Vario, the fuselage airframe and add-on parts are manufactured using original data from Airbus Helicopters. Even in this model dimension, Vario is the only company to offer a kit using such data. The realism is not only expressed by this, but also by the size of the model. A rotor circle of 2.30 meters is impressive. This makes the model very similar to a real helicopter. The machine offers plenty of space and realism thanks to the cockpit extension and external attachments. Thanks to the popular XL dome mechanism, the cockpit area is completely open from the windshield to the rear flaps. This H145 has another sister - the EC145 of the same size. By simply replacing the tail section, the model is transformed into a completely different type of helicopter. Both versions have the great advantage for flight operations that the tail rotor blades always have sufficient ground clearance when landing. The Fenestron which has been developed for this model has a 255 mm diameter and turns at 7,500 rpm.

For VARIO's 1050 H145 we recommend a maximum main rotor speed of 850 rpm. Electric drive sets from VARIO are already tuned to this head speed.

Electric Mechanics XL 1002/1200

Our propulsion recommendation for this helicopter! Contemporary dome mechanics which is especially designed for the scale model electric flight and allows full cockpit detail. This mechanics is suitable for fuselage kit Ord.No. 1492. Electric motors are quiet, low in vibration, without exhaust gases and residual thrust. The blade slap noise of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of propulsion and the result is a true-to-life impression in flight. For this electromechanical system in combination with this model we offer a drive set for 12S LiPos.

The first time the H145 (EC145 T2) was presented to public was in 2011 at the Heli-Expo in Orlando, Florida. The outer shell is very similar to its predecessor, the EC145. However, an important difference is the Fenestron replacing the tail rotor. Also cockpit and turbines are different to the ones in the EC145.
