The "Starwood" edition Lama is a mostly prefabricated and preassembled. To make the helicopters airworthy, all you need is still the motor set, the radio control system components and building aids such as glue, thread lock, etc.

The design is particularly detailed and reproduced exactly. The lattice tail, mainframe assembly and skids are uncoated metal parts. Also included in the kit is a very impressive scale rotor head and scale tail gearbox, these come preassembled and ready painted, as does the scale dome extension for the main shaft. Canopy, scale parts for cabin and main frame are also included, such as seats, joysticks, instrument console, oil tank, air filters, etc. Main rotor and tail blades are included.

The kit Ord.No. 3405 includes an electric mechanics as well as the GRP dummy turbine. We recommend the drive set Ord.No. 3340.

The kit Ord.No. 3404 includes a turbine mechanics as well as the stainless steel exhaust tube and the GRP kerosene tank. The turbine Jakadofsky RS Starwood Edition can be ordered separately.

With the fuselage of the Alouette II and the dynamics of the Alouette III, the full size SA 315 Lama has gained high esteem for operations in hot regions and high mountainous areas (India / Himalayas, South America / Andes). Apart from the higher skid landing gear without wheels, the immediately recognizable difference to the Alouette II is the electronic control panels in the cockpit, and the 3-blade tail rotor. To this day, the Lama is the only helicopter capable of transporting another helicopter of the same type, and in the summer of 1969, it achieved a record altitude of 12,442 meters.
