When a 2 mm steel drive wire is used between main gearbox and tail gearbox the tail rotor might yaw the heli during acrobatics (e.g. turn), because the wire might "wind up". At this moment a small "wind up" will cause a small change of tail rpm, which requires steering corrections.
A so-called "rigid" tail drive system gives a more exact drive to the tail rotor.
This version (for installation in a fuselage) uses a 950 mm long stainless steel drive tube. The length allows mounting in nearly all fuselages; claw connectors 49/12 in main gearbox and tail gearbox are required.
Tail drive system, complete as shown.
