The 5-part cooling duct encloses the part of the mechanics in which the motor is located, and prevents the forced cooling air flowing away from the cylinder head.

The position of the opening for the carburettor linkage varies from motor to motor, so you have to cut it out yourself; be sure to keep the hole as small as possible. When screwing the duct components together it is important to avoid stressing the plastic, and to fit the rubber washers between duct and pan-head screws as shown. The screws should only be tightened lightly!
