The "big Bell 430" from VARIO is a 1050 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with turbine or electric propulsion. Bell Helicopter is the creator of the man-carrying version. The model incorporates GRP technology which substantially shortens the required building time. The 2.5 l fueltank - itself a GRP moulding - doubles up as a support for the undercarriage. The retractable undercarriage is mounted on the transverse member below the tank. The supports in the fuselage for the mechanical system are also based on a GRP sub-structure.

For VARIO's 1050 Bell 430 we recommend a main rotor speed of approx. 960 rpm. Electric drive sets from VARIO are already tuned to this head speed.

Select one of the following drive types:

Turbine Mechanics 1002/67

left hand rotation (true to scale)

For turbine Jakadofsky Pro 5000, clutch bell 4 blade: t. 24

The Bell 430 fuselage kit for the Pro 5000 turbine can be ordered with Ord.No. 4340.

The turbine version fascinates by the smell of kerosene, a gently starting rotor, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a turbine. Until the electrical power revolution in radio controlled model construction, turbines were the most powerful drives. In terms of flight times, turbines are still superior to electro-flight.

Turbine Mechanics JetCat PHT3-L (mechanics and turbine)

The drive of this model is also possible with a JetCat turbine. However, since the upgrade of the PHT3 series to the V2 version, there are deviations from the previous version. For this purpose, components of the kit must be adapted accordingly at your own discretion.

Electric Mechanics 1002/77

Our propulsion recommendation for this helicopter! Contemporary mechanics, especially designed for the scale model electric flight. The mounting points in the fuselage are identical to those of the turbine mechanics Ord.No. 1002/67. Therefore, the mechanics can be used in almost all kits that also fit these VARIO turbine mechanics with lower turbine position (in this case Ord.No. 4340). Electric motors are quiet, low in vibration, without exhaust gases and residual thrust. The blade slap noise sound of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of propulsion and the result is a true-to-life impression in flight. For this electromechanical system we offer a drive set for 12S LiPos.
