On March 7 and 8, 2026, Rotor Live took place in Iffezheim – and of course VARIO Helicopter was there once again.
Numerous visitors took the opportunity to take a close look at our current models and new products. Many interesting conversations with customers, model builders and friends of our company made the exhibition a very special experience once again this year.
Particular interest was shown in our latest developments and the current projects within the VARIO program.
We would like to sincerely thank all visitors to our exhibition stand and are already looking forward to seeing you again at the next Rotor Live!
The proven Vario Alouette II returns – completely revised, with a new assembly manual and consistently further developed from its successful predecessor. This makes it even more of a VARIO scale icon and for many the ideal entry model into the turbine class.
The new Alouette II is available in two versions:

We are pleased to present the VARIO novelty for spring 2026 in flight at Jetpower 2025. https://www.jetpower.de/

On the way to Rotor Live, Vario made a stop in Karlsruhe. On Friday, March 7, the air rescue station Christoph 43 was inaugurated there. The German Air Rescue Service DRF displayed their Vario model of the H145, and Vario supported the setup on a voluntary basis.
After the event we were allowed to bring the model to our exhibition stand in Iffezheim. Visitors were able to see our craftsmanship in static display models. In addition to the flawless assembly of the kit and a professional paint finish, the model featured several individual customizations. The client's requirements were:
Vario’s exhibition experience also contributed to the CAD/Solidworks design of the foam insert layout, ensuring easier assembly/disassembly and safe storage.
The following components fit into the water-jet-cut compartments:
The scale-accurate 5-blade rotor head of this machine attracted the attention of many visitors. Due to the strong interest, Vario is considering developing a flyable version of the H145 with a rotor diameter of 2 m (Ord.No. 1470). The version on the static model was not designed to be flyable due to the short build time.
New at the stand and available in the shop for the first time in March 2025 are the kits H145 and EC145. More information is provided in the video by Simone Zunterer: https://youtu.be/ivZRIYD9PSM
Here too a 5-blade rotor head is being considered. Currently the 4-blade version is available for the kit.
The pilot team delivered a fantastic flight show. The excellent flight characteristics of Vario models combined with the pilots’ flying skills. At the flight line, the Vario team is known for its discipline and cooperation. We were all impressed and proud. The team pilots are friendly and helpful and also assisted with the setup and dismantling of the exhibition stand. The atmosphere at the stand was characterized by joy and friendliness. A big and heartfelt thank you for that!
We had great conversations with customers, suppliers, other companies and visitors. It was truly a wonderful Rotor Live.
Just in time for Jetpower 2024 (September 13-15, 2024) in Breitscheid / Hesse we present the film "That's Vario". The video will also be shown at the Vario booth during the exhibition days. We look forward to welcoming all visitors there. Those who cannot attend can enjoy the video comfortably from home:
