Bear paws for 15 mm skid tubes

Bear paws spreaders are fitted to full-size helicopters to prevent them sinking into soft surfaces. They are used in particular to prevent the tail section sinking, as this helps to avoid damage to the tail rotor.
On a model the load spreaders make an interesting detail fitting, but they can also be helpful for 'orientation', i.e. for picking up the model's attitude in flight.
The load spreader illustrated here is made of stainless steel and is simply pushed onto the skid tube and glued in place. A good adhesive for this is UHU plus endfest 300, Ord.No. 10/27.
