The H145 from VARIO is a 900 size scale helicopter. You can power this remote-controlled model helicopter with turbine or electric propulsion. Eurocopter is the creator of the man-carrying version and Airbus Helicopters produces this helicopter.

The EC145 T2 is designed using the original 3-D data from Airbus Helicopters thus ensuring perfect proportions. This is the only H145 in this size based on original data by the full size manufacturer. A rotor disc of 2 meters means it will easily fit into most motor cars. The GRP quality of finish is superior to any fuselage we have produced in the past and with the custom designed mechanics completely fitting in the top dome of the helicopter this gives a totally clear cockpit and cabin area allowing the fitting of a full scale interior. The GRP inner cover is unique and gives a realistic impression. On the electric version the drive batteries are located under the cockpit floor and a special cockpit kit is available separately to allow easy removal of the batteries. The Fenestron which has been developed for this model has a 190 mm diameter and turns at 10,500 rpm.

For VARIO's 900 EC145 T2 we recommend a maximum main rotor speed of 1000 rpm. Electric drive sets from VARIO are already tuned to this head speed.

Turbine Mechanics 1002/67

left hand rotation

For turbine Jakadofsky Pro 6000, clutch bell: t. 27

The H145 T2 fuselage kit for the Pro 6000 turbine can be ordered with Ord.No. 1480.

The turbine version fascinates by the smell of kerosene, a gently starting rotor, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a turbine. Until the electrical power revolution in radio controlled model construction, turbines were the most powerful drives. In terms of flight times, turbines are still superior to electro-flight.

Electric Mechanics L 1002/1000

Our propulsion recommendation for this helicopter! Contemporary dome mechanics which is especially designed for the scale model electric flight and allows full cockpit detail. This mechanics is suitable for fuselage kit Ord.No. 1470.Electric motors are quiet, low in vibration, without exhaust gases and residual thrust. The blade slap noise of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of propulsion and the result is a true-to-life impression in flight. For this electromechanical system we offer a drive set for 12S LiPos. These 12S are ideally divided into 3x4S to fit under the cockpit floor.

The first time the H145 (EC145 T2) was presented to public was in 2011 at the Heli-Expo in Orlando, Florida. The outer shell is very similar to its predecessor, the EC145. However, an important difference is the Fenestron replacing the tail rotor. Also cockpit and turbines are different to the ones in the EC145.
