The CofG of a model helicopter should only be checked with an empty fuel tank.
During the flight the fuel is situated in a place where the additional weight does not have an adverse effect. If you set the CofG with a full fuel tank the resultant reduction in fuel during the flight would be disadvantageous to the models position of center of gravity.
