The number of rotor blades has a crucial effect on the flying characteristics of a model helicopter, as each blade runs increasingly in the turbulent air of the preceding blade. The intensity of control response is reduced, and the model's flying characteristics become more harmonious. Large-scale models in particular benefit from the use of a multi-blade rotor head, because they do not require high collective pitch values.

Accurate handling combined with comparatively slow response result in excellent hovering characteristics and a powerful climb performance.

This six-blade rotor head is designed for the Air-Crane model, and fits on a 12 mm Ø rotor shaft in conjunction with the swashplate driver 68/60.
