The Baby Lama is a VARIO scale helicopter from the 600 series. Mechanics, rotor head and tail rotor are almost identical to the Baby R22 - but with 3-blade main and tail rotor and minor deviations in the mechanics. A very special scale gem with quality, sustainable parts supply and local product support. A must have for all llama lovers! The Baby Lama is suitable for beginners and experienced pilots who are looking for a compact model helicopter for spontaneous after-work flights. The low power consumption allows long flight times (about 10 minutes at 5000 mAh). The system speed is 1300 rpm which is a controller opening of about 65%.

The helicopter model has excellent flight characteristics. It is quiet and easy to fly with high inherent stability even in windy conditions.

Aérospatiale is the originator of the man-carrying version. In 2022, the legendary Air Zermatt Lama from Switzerland had its last flight.

Features:

- GRP canopy with beautiful white gelcoat

- Separate doors and fittings

- many cutouts in the GRP (windows, doors, etc.) already done (cutout for engine + cutouts at the tankatrappe + turbine are still to be done by yourself)

- milled windows ready for assembly

- easy to align frame (4 parts) made of wood

- scale skid landing gear

battery accommodation:

- LiPo 6S, 5000 mAh: under the pilot seat (requires cockpit Ord.No. 341/829)

alternatively:

- 2x LiPo 3S, 3000 mAh: under cockpit floor or in optional grid baskets (Ord.No. 360/36)

Electro-mechanics S 1002/360 included in the kit

Our drive recommendation for this helicopter (fuselage kit Ord.No. 3600 and 3601)! Single-stage mechanics, reduced to a minimum of parts and can be installed as universal mechanics in other Vario helicopters of the 600 series.

- solid and well thought-out 1-stage mechanics, low number of parts

- easy to assemble

- 4 fixing points for mounting in the fuselage

- main elements: base plate, mast, mounting plate for servos (plug-in system)

- ø10 mm main rotor shaft with a special ball bearing dome

- main gear with 120 teeth

- designed for 3 + 1 (swashplate + tail) mini-servos (KST X15-908)

- flies with a 6S LiPo battery pack (maximum dimensions: 170 x 48 x 48 mm)

- Level of mechanics: 1:7.5

- for the Baby R22, Baby Lama and other helicopter models of the 600 series

Electric motors are quiet, low vibration, without exhaust fumes and residual thrust. The beating of the rotor blades is more noticeable than with other types of drive and a prototypical impression is created in flight. For this electric mechanics in combination with this model VARIO offers a drive set for 6S LiPos.

New tail rotor

- easy to assemble, check & maintain

- no adjustment with shims necessary

- large and robust gearbox

- quiet

- tail tube and linkage already cut to length, rigid
