The glazing panels of full-size helicopters feature external frames which press the glass firmly into position; they are retained by countersunk cross-point screws. On our models we can imitate the window frame by applying a narrow painted stripe. True, it is somewhat time-consuming to mask off the panels before painting, but the final result is very rewarding.
These 1.4 x 10 mm countersunk screws are the ideal embellishment to your window installation. With a countersunk pilot-hole the screws hold well in GRP; and for the final touch cut off the excess screw length on the inside.
