Lithium is the lightest metal with the greatest electro-chemical potential. In contrast to conventional batteries, a Lithium-Polymer pack features a polymer electrolyte in place of the traditional separator saturated with electrolyte.

An excellent application for this technology is to use a pair of Lithium-Polymer batteries to form a dual-battery power supply.

An important feature of this battery is the protective packaging. The delicate cells and associated electronics are housed in a rugged plastic case which clips into a practical quick-release mount, making it quick and easy to install and remove again.

The capacity of a rechargeable battery is the quantity of electrical charge which it can deliver; the quantity is stated in Ah or mAh. However, in reality the available capacity varies according to the magnitude of the discharge current and the temperature of the pack.
