When you are attempting high-speed flying in reverse and also certain pirouettes you may find that the helicopter's heading changes due to the influence of the solid vertical stabiliser. That is the basic reason for the development of this special 3-D tail.
It is very strong, and its large size removes the need for a tail skid. The stabiliser is pre-drilled to match existing tail rotor holders.
