A methodical procedure is required when you are checking that screws are tight, although the actual method is up to you.

However, in all cases thread-lock lacquer is an indispensable aid. You can use different grades of lacquer to indicate how you have tightened particular screws, i.e. using high-strength thread-lock fluid, medium-strength fluid, or none at all.
A further advantage is that you know you have to use heat to loosen screws secured with high-strength thread-lock before you risk damaging the screw-heads and the screwdriver.
